MiLO has been an incredible opportunity to work on my leadership skills, as it is student led, and so we have responsibility to lead the rehearsals ourselves. We also choose the music we want to play and try to take it to an audience and perform.
Description:
Music is a massive part of my life, both culturally and personally. Through it I've learnt about my heritage and language, and in this way have connected with my family members, especially my mum, in ways that I couldn't have done otherwise. I also just love listening to music, and being a part of a bigger sound in an orchestra. I love creating a sound that is my own, and interpreting a piece in my own way. I also like the feeling when I notice that I am making progress as I practice, and gaining more control over my movement and expression.
