My favourite thing about being in MiLO aside from the friendship we have formed, is that we chose our own repertoire which means that we can play pieces that perhaps we wouldn't otherwise and explore different sounds from samba to Chinese folk music for example.
Description:
Music has always been part of my life despite not coming from a family of instrument players. Despite learning piano before, as I learnt the cello, it opened me up to the world of orchestral and chamber playing and the friendships that you can form with like-minded people. Along with being an important for of expression for me, music is also a way through which I can discover different cultures. Music is an essential part of everyday life. Aside from instrument practice, music is the background to pretty much each moment of my day as I am always listening to something. I love most the feeling of playing with a group of people and creating an amazing sound that touches those who listen.
